IAIOS In our daily lives, we buy too many things we don’t need and throw away too much. Fortunately, there are endless ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle, just as our grandparents naturally did. One of them is the process we use to make our sweaters—100% recycled and recyclable, built to last. A family business that does things slowly again IAIOS is a project born in 2016 within a family business that has worked in textiles for five generations. Our mission is to create timeless, environmentally respectful garments. Our flagship product is the knit sweater, made the same way our grandparents used to make them. That’s why our sweaters are named after inspiring elders and come with their biographies. Recycled yarn The yarn in our sweaters is 100% recycled using a zero-waste process. The spinning process involves recycling leftover scraps from textile factories to remake yarn. This method generates no waste, skips the highly polluting dyeing process (which contaminates water), and saves 99% of water consumption. Local production Our sweaters are locally made, avoiding the heavy environmental cost of long-distance transportation by plane, ship, or truck. The entire production process takes place between Olot, Igualada, and Granollers, supporting the local economy and ensuring fair labor and transparency. Sweater repair We want our sweaters to last for years, so once a year, we offer a repair service. In summer, we collect all sweaters in need of mending and fix them so they’re like new by the next winter.
