The company is 100% Spanish. **Fabrics:** Sustainable Denim & Poplin Xiro’s fabrics consist mostly of organic cotton. Currently, the primary material is raw denim made from organic cotton with degradable elastane. The cotton must be GOTS-certified. **Durability** Durability depends on fabric weight and quality. Resistance to tension and tearing is tested using specialized machines. Garments are designed for timelessness, ensuring years of wear. Instead of planned obsolescence, Xiro promotes "planned longevity," offering repair kits for at-home fixes. **Materials** - **Raw Denim:** Unwashed, untreated denim post-production. More sustainable as it avoids industrial washing chemicals and water. Though stiffer and uniform in color initially, wear and washing create unique, personalized fading. Not all dyes are the same. - **Degradable Elastane (Roica V550):** Sustainable elastane that fully decomposes without releasing harmful chemicals. Awarded the Gold Level Material Health Certificate by Cradle to Cradle Product Innovation Institute. - **Poplin:** Premium GOTS and IVN Best-certified organic cotton, used for pockets, linings, fisherman’s caps, toiletry pouches, or as the main fabric in shirts and blouses. Unbleached, in off-white. A soft, durable, high-quality fabric. **Low-Impact Dyes** - **V Sizing:** A plant-based starch compound used in dyeing. 100% biodegradable, non-toxic, and replaces hazardous chemicals (including PVA), ensuring a microplastic-free dyeing process. - **Indigo Juice:** Surface-applied indigo dye, saving 15% water and energy compared to conventional methods. **100% Galician Jeans** - 97% organic cotton / 3% degradable elastane (GOTS). - Pocket lining: 100% organic cotton (GOTS). - Recycled polyester zipper. - Vegan. - Full price.
